This story revealed how education mafias are doing a brisk business in Uttar Pradesh. Without appearing in the examination, our reporter got three members of Parliament in Uttar Pradesh through high school examinations. On camera, managers, principals and district education officers were caught taking bribe to get the said ‘students’ passed.

IMPACT: The Uttar Pradesh government constituted a CB–CID enquiry committee to look into the findings of the story. Later, an education committee was formed by the UP Board of Secondary Education, which changed the entire enrolment system of the UP Board.
