BSF arrested Indian national attempting to cross LOC to meet his Girlfriend

On 16th July’ 2020 BSF troops apprehended a young Indian National, namely Siddiqui Mohamad Zishan about 1.5 Kms short of Indo-Pak international border when he was attempting to cross over to Pakistan through Rann of Kutch area. Crime Branch of Maharashtra Police had shared information with Gujarat Police regarding missing complaint lodged by parents of the apprehended person at his native place.

Gujarat police of PS Balasar, Distt Kutch further shared the information with BSF and troops were alerted. His mobile location was traced to be in and around Dholavira. As per press release of BSF Gujarat, during the search conducted by BSF in the afternoon a bike was recovered near Fossil Park which he had used to travel from his hometown and abandoned before leaving towards border area. On preliminary inquiry he was identified as Siddiqui Mohamad Zishan. He was in a dehydrated state and revealed that he had gone unconscious for about 02 hrs in the Rann

PAN Card/Aadhar Card/ATM card and Mobile were recovered from his possession. He revealed that he fell in love with a girl namely Samra from Shah Faisal Town, Karachi, Pakistan on Facebook and both of them were in contact with each other through Facebook and Whatsapp. Siddiqui Mohamad Zishan wanted to go to Pakistan and had used Google Map for navigation. The person has been handed over to the police for further investigation and verification of story given by him.
