Twenty eight people were killed in separate incidents of lightning in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, news agency PTI reported. Eighteen people, including seven children, were killed in lightning-related incidents in Rajasthan’s Jaipur, Kota, Jhalawar and Dholpur districts on Sunday, police said. Twenty-one people, including six children, were also injured in lightning incidents in separate villages in the state, police said. In Jaipur, 11 persons, mostly youths, were killed and eight others injured when lightning struck them on a hill near the Amber Fort, officials said. Meanwhile, ten people, including two teenagers, were also killed by lightning in Uttar Pradesh where rains occurred at isolated parts of the state.
