33,376 Fresh Coronavirus Cases In India, 4.5% Lower Than Yesterday

India's Covid chart showed improvement today, with the country recording 33,376 cases, a drop of 4.5% from yesterday. 308 deaths were recorded during the period, according to the Health Ministry. Active cases constitute 1.18% of total cases.

As per news report of NDTV, Kerala added 25,010 cases and 177 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 43,34,704 and the number of deaths to 22,303. The positivity rate rose to 16.53 per cent on Friday after testing 1,51,317 samples in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra reported 4,154 new coronavirus infections and 44 to India's Covid numbers. Maharashtra's case recovery rate stands at 97.05 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent. No virus-related death was recorded in Delhi in a day while 36 fresh cases were reported during the same period with a positivity rate of 0.05 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department on Friday.
