The Supreme Court has allowed Atiq Ahmed to approach the Allahabad High court for protection after he claimed that his life is under threat in UP Police's custody.

As per news report of NDTV, Gangster Atiq Ahmed has been found guilty in the 2006 kidnapping case of lawyer Umesh Pal by a court in Prayagraj. The sentencing will be announced after 2 pm today.
