Nitish Kumar claimed that he has been championing a nationwide caste census since 1989. The Bihar caste census data, which could spark demands for similar censuses in other states, is a key issue for the opposition INDIA bloc.

As per news report of NDTV, A day after releasing data from a controversial caste-based survey in the state, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called for an all-party meeting today to present the findings of the census report and deliberate on the next course of action.
