Andhra Pradesh To Get India's First Solar Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing Unit

This facility will be India's first commercial-scale integrated ingot-wafer manufacturing unit, producing the essential building blocks for solar cells and modules.

As per news report of NDTV,Andhra Pradesh is poised to lead India into a new era of solar manufacturing by establishing the country's first integrated 6 GW solar ingot and wafer production facility in Anakapalli district. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed during a partnership summit has been converted into a project that has been approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).
