Behind Officers' Rescue In Bengal, SOS To Chief Justice And Group Calls

Seven judicial officers, including three women, were gheraoed at around 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon inside the Kaliachak 2 Block Development Office (BDO) in Bengal's Malda district by a large crowd, alleging that genuine voters' names had been deleted from the electoral rolls.

As per news report of NDTV,The Chief Justice of India's phone dinged late on Wednesday night, around 11, with a WhatsApp message from the Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court. It was an SOS. Seven judicial officers, including three women, were gheraoed at around 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon inside the Kaliachak 2 Block Development Office (BDO) in Bengal's Malda district by a large crowd, alleging that genuine voters' names had been deleted from the electoral rolls.
