Body With Hand Cut Off Tied To Barricade At Farmers' Protest
The body of a man was found mutilated - the left wrist was cut off - at a farmers' protest site at Kundli in Haryana's Sonipat district today. Nihangs - 'warrior' Sikhs - have been blamed. Police have filed a murder case against unknown people.

As per news report of NDTV, Haryana Police said the body was recovered at around 5 am; DSP Hansraj told news agency ANI it was found near a spot where the farmers' protest is underway. An FIR carrying charges of murder has been filed (against an unknown person or persons) and inquiries have started, Sandeep Khirwar, IGP (Rohtak Range) told news agency PTI. According to police the man is 35 (or 36)-year-old Lakhbir Singh from Punjab's Tam Taran district. Lakhbir - who was adopted after his birth parents died - is a labourer and is survived by a sister, a wife and three daughters, the eldest of whom is just 12 years old. Nihangs - a 'warrior' Sikh group - are being blamed for the brutal murder. At least three videos have emerged online, showing a large group of Nihangs standing around Lakhbir Singh's bloody body and asking him questions about his name and village.
