Ahead of the formation of the new government in Meghalaya, United Democratic Party (UDP) and People's Democratic Front (PDF) have extended their support to the National People's Party (NPP) to form the government.

As per news report of NDTV, Two major regional parties - the United Democratic Party (UDP) and the People's Democratic Front (PDF) - on Sunday extended their support to the NPP-led alliance, increasing the number of MLAs backing the Conrad K Sangma-led coalition to 45.
