Trump yesterday announced an extra 25 per cent tariff on Indian exports as a 'penalty' for New Delhi continuing to import Russian crude oil. The total tariffs on Indian exports to the US is now 50 per cent

As per news report of NDTV,Minutes before his administration's heavy tariffs on several countries, including India, kicked in, US President Donald Trump today said the move will lead to billions of dollars flowing into the country from those who "have taken advantage of the United States for many years".
