COVID-19: Number of cases climb to 37,336

In India the death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 1,218 and the number of cases climbed to 37,336 on Saturday, according to the Union Health Ministry. The number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 26,167, while 9,950 people have recovered and one patient has migrated, the ministry said.

As per news report of PTI, a total of 66 deaths were reported since Friday evening of which 26 fatalities were reported from Maharashtra, 22 from Gujarat, eight from Madhya Pradesh, four from Rajasthan, two from Delhi and one each from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and Tamil Nadu.
