Kerala counted its 2026 assembly votes on Monday, with the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) sweeping back to power and the IUML winning 22 of the 27 seats it contested.

As per news report of NDTV,In February 1957, two days before Kerala went to the polls, Jawaharlal Nehru, the-then Prime Minister, stood at Kozhikode and delivered his verdict on the Indian Union Muslim League. The speech is preserved in the selected works of Jawaharlal Nehru, Volume 37, archived from All India Radio tapes at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. Its title was "Equal Opportunities for All."
