"Goa, You're Better Than This": Trinamool As BJP's Ex-Ally Picks Congress

The Congress's alliance in Goa with a former BJP ally ahead of polls next year has drawn a trenchant attack from a leader of the Trinamool Congress, which had pursued the party for a collaboration.

As per news report of NDTV, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra's tweet targets the Goa Forward Party led by former minister Vijay Sardesai, which sealed an alliance with the Congress last evening. "INC (Congress) win 17 seats in Goa 2017, BJP won only 13. Yet while AICC's Digvijay Singh "observed", BJP sealed deal with GFP to form unholy govt. GFP suddenly on poll eve realises BJP is evil, hugs INC! Come on Goa- you're better than this!" - Mahua Moitra wrote. Elections to Goa's 40-seat assembly are due in February.
