India records 20,044 fresh Covid cases

India’s Covid-19 case tally rose by 20,044 in a day to reach 4,37,30,071 while active cases increased to 1,40,760, according to Health Ministry data updated on Saturday.

As per news report of The Indian Express, the death toll has climbed to 5,25,660 with 56 more fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated. Active cases increased by 1,687 in a day and now comprise 0.32 per cent of the total infections while the national recovery rate is 98.48 per cent, the ministry said. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.80 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was 4.40 per cent.
