India’s Covid-19 infections rose by 2,58,089 in the past 24 hours
Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain said the city is expected to report around 14,000-15,000 cases today. “Around 2.85 crore doses have been administered in Delhi, with 100 percent of the eligible population inoculated with the first dose and 80 percent with the second,” he said. He added that 1.28 lakh people have received the precautionary dose.

As per news report of The Indian Express, India’s Covid-19 infections rose by 2,58,089 in the past 24 hours, taking the overall tally to 37.38 million, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday. There were 385 fatalities and the country’s death toll has gone up to 4,86,451, the ministry added. While the number of Covid-19 cases is slightly lower than Sunday, the deaths are higher, the ministry’s data showed. Registering an increase of 6.02 per cent in a day, Omicron cases in India have gone up to 8,209, the ministry said. Active Covid-19 cases now stand at 16,56,341, while the recovery rate is 94.27 per cent.
