As per news report of NDTV, Stone-throwing and more violence was reported from several areas on Tuesday before the police used force to bring the situation under control. The areas, however, remains tense. Internet services were suspended in Jodhpur to stop people from spreading rumours, and the namaz for Eid was offered under police protection. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who belongs to Jodhpur, appealed to the people to maintain peace. He called a high-level meeting to discuss the situation and sent in senior officials to Jodhpur via helicopter. "While respecting the tradition of love and brotherhood of Jodhpur, Marwar, I make a touching appeal to all the parties to maintain peace and cooperate in restoring law and order," he said in a tweet.
