As per news report of The Indian Express, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called for the removal of Union Minister of State (Home) Ajay Mishra in connection with the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3. “We should be allowed to speak about the murder that was committed in Lakhimpur Kheri, where there was an involvement of the Minister and about which it has been said that it was a conspiracy. The Minister who killed farmers should resign and be punished,” he said in Lok Sabha. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned within nine minutes of proceedings starting, amidst continued protests by the Opposition. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi moved a notice in Lok Sabha Wednesday seeking adjournment of business to discuss a “definite matter of urgent importance”; the SIT report on Lakhimpur Kheri.
