As per news report of NDTV,The Reserve Bank of India said on March 1 that about ₹ 8,470 crore worth of the ₹ 2,000 banknotes are still with the public. The country's central bank also added that nearly 97.62 per cent of the withdrawn notes have been returned to the banking system.
