Most Omicron Cases In Delhi, Big Jump; Night Curfew From Today

Amid fears of the new Omicron variant driving a third wave of Covid infections, the country today reported 578 cases of the new strain over the past 24 hours - a hike of 37 per cent from Sunday's tally of 422.

As per news report of NDTV, Delhi has recorded the most cases of Omicron in the country (142), followed by Maharashtra (141), Kerala (57), Gujarat (49) and 43 (Rajasthan), the Health Ministry said in a bulletin. Overall, the country reported 6,531 Covid cases over the past 24 hours, 6.5 per cent less as compared to yesterday. The country's active Covid caseload currently stands at 75,841.
