As per news report of The Indian Express, Several shops and establishments across the state remained shut in solidarity with the bandh, including Pune’s APMC and Nashik’s onion trading market, Lasalgaon. NCP leader and minister Nawab Malik led a protest in Mumbai. He called for the resignation of MoS Ajay Mishra whose son has been arrested by the UP Police in connection with the violence. The minister also urged people to not indulge in stone pelting and such activities. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena workers have taken to the streets across Mumbai and several areas in Maharashtra, including Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Solapur, and Nagpur.
