Mumbai woman, who was raped, had unknown object inserted in private parts, dies

A 32-year-old woman, brutally raped and had an unknown object inserted in her private parts in Sakinaka, passed away at a government hospital Saturday. The accused, identified as Mohan Chouhan, 45-year-old, has been arrested and booked for rape and murder. He had earlier been charged with attempted murder.

As per news report of The Indian Express, The woman, who was homeless, was allegedly assaulted by Chouhan inside a tempo on Khairani road in Sakinaka around 3am on Friday. The accused had inserted some object in her private parts, which had led to heavy bleeding. A watchman who saw the woman being beaten up alerted the police control room. A Sakinaka police team had reached the spot. The woman was admitted to the Rajawadi Hospital in an unconscious state. An FIR was registered based on the testimony of the watchman.
