‘No one more honest than Sisodia,’ says Kejriwal after LG calls for CBI probe

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday came to the defence of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia after Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena recommended a CBI investigation into the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 and accused Sisodia of procedural lapses.

“I’ve known Sisodia for 22 years and I have never seen anyone as honest or as much of a deshbhakt as him,” Kejriwal said. As per news report of The Indian Express, Saxena accused Sisodia of giving benefits to licensees without the LG’s approval. He further alleged that the AAP government used the money from grant of licences for the Punjab elections. “How far can you go with false allegations. You arrested Satyendra Jain who was working in the health sector and now want put Sisodia who is making careers and lives of lakhs of children in Delhi in jail,” Kejriwal alleged.
