President's Rule In Manipur To Be Extended, Amit Shah To Move Resolution In Rajya Sabha

Manipur has been witnessing ethnic conflict between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities since May 2023, in which over 250 people have been killed.

As per news report of NDTV,Union Home Minister Amit Shah has moved a statutory resolution in the Parliament seeking approval for the extension of the President's rule in Manipur for another six months. The Centre had imposed the President's rule in Manipur on February 13, three days after Chief Minister N Biren Singh resigned.
