Record highest ever daily increase in global Covid-19 cases

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recorded more than 100,000 new coronavirus infections in the space of 24 hours - a new global high. The spread of the infection has continued to grow at a global level - with two thirds of new cases being recorded in four countries - according to the WHO.

As per news report of Independent, “We still have a long way to go in this pandemic”, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said. “In the last 24 hours, there have been 106,000 cases reported to WHO – the most in a single day since the outbreak began.
