Russia pounds Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv as face-to-face talks resume in Turkey
At least three people were killed and 22 wounded in the southern Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv on Tuesday when a rocket struck a regional administration building, news agency Reuters quoted the Ukrainian emergencies service as saying. In an online post, it said 18 of the wounded had been pulled from the rubble by rescue workers who continue to work at the scene.

As per news report of The Indian Express, The attack took place even as Ukraine and Russia began the first face-to-face talks in two weeks on Tuesday in Turkey, raising hopes of the war coming to an end. Ahead of the meeting in Istanbul, the Ukrainian president said his country is prepared to declare its neutrality, as Moscow has demanded, and is open to compromise over the contested eastern region of Donbas — comments that might lend momentum to negotiations. But he warned the “ruthless war” continued, and even the negotiators assembled, Russian forces hit an oil depot in western Ukraine and a government building in the south.
