As per news report of NDTV, Mr Pilot was said to be the chosen replacement while Mr Gehlot was to become Congress president as per the party's ‘one person-one post' rule — a plan that fell through after over the majority of the MLAs, loyalists of Ashok Gehlot, got together against it. Raising his demands to new Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge while speaking to NDTV today, Sachin Pilot said MLAs who've been served notices should be told to file their replies. “Congress is an old party… I request the new president to President to take action against indiscipline,” he said.
