Singapore and UAE have expressed interest in Rupay: Sitharaman

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that India is talking to different countries to adopt Rupay payment system.

As per news report of AIR, Sitharaman said that Singapore and the United Arab Emirates have expressed their interest in Rupay. The Finance Minister said this at an event organized by a prominent think thank in Washington. Ms. Sitaraman said that the UPI, the BHIM app, and NCPI (the National Payments Corporation of India) are all now being developed to synchronize with the systems in other countries. The Finance Minister is on a visit to the United States for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
