After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, took custody of the body and arrested the accused, the officer said.

As per news report of NDTV,A 25-year old man allegedly killed his mother with a spear when she intervened in a fight between him and his wife here, police said on Friday. He has been arrested. Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh S told PTI that the incident took place in Ganpatpur village under Nigohi police station limits on Thursday evening.
