US government issues statement on biolabs abroad

Biological laboratories in Ukraine and other foreign countries were never used to develop weapons, the US government claimed on Monday, in a joint statement with other participants in the program.

As per news report of Rt.com, nine countries, including Ukraine, are included in the explanation, which was issued months after Russia accused Washington of maintaining a secret overseas germ warfare program. “Our governments have partnered openly and transparently through the Biological Threat Reduction Program, which is a part of the US Department of Defense Cooperative Threat Reduction Program,” the statement read.
