Woman in Ghaziabad tests positive for Covid-19 after giving birth

In Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, a 25-year-old woman who gave birth to a boy at a private hospital in Nandgram on Thursday tested positive for Covid-19 a day later. The baby has also been tested for the novel coronavirus infection and the report is awaited. Both of them have been shifted to an isolation ward.

As per news report of The Times of India, there are fears of a fresh cluster breaking out in Ghaziabad as the doctor who operated on the woman visited two other hospitals and performed two more similar procedures. The doctor who performed the C-section on the woman and other medical staff who assisted him in the procedure have been quarantined.
