As per news report of NDTV,India's food delivery and quick commerce sector faces a fresh cost burden after the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council decided to bring delivery fees under Section 9(5) of the Central GST Act, making them liable for 18% GST. After the Council meeting, the decision was confirmed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday.
